DOS, the maritime safety administration of Bangladesh, is tasked to maintain maritime safety, security and pollution prevention standards and provide related services and appropriate maritime legislations, with enforcement measures to ensure compliance with national and international requirements to enhance sustainable shipping for Bangladesh and provide our stakeholders with the services that meet their expectations.

DOS is committed to continual improvement and has established a Quality Management System to ensure its mandated responsibilities and services are carried out to the highest possible standards. This will be accomplished through the regular review of the effectiveness of this quality management system and policy, the development of our staff through appropriate training, and the measurement and improvement of our performance.
